Emails from the Road: Oh Purple Mountains Majesty, The Parks (Part 3)

Updated: Aug 9, 2019

Today we happily left, overpriced, overcrowded Jackson and headed through the Grand Tetons and onto Yellowstone. It was a spectacular drive despite the intermittent rain.

The Bison in the picture gallery was just hanging out by the side of the road. We also saw two huge Elks, a fawn, a moose. No bears yet.

Old Faithful was quite spectacular. The pictures do not do it justice. The most specatular thing were the mountains peaking out through the clouds as if heaven was giving us a preview. The drive was a bit long but we didn't feel it at all. We were too awestruck by the tranquility and elequance of nature at its best.

I'll let the pictures tell the remainder of the story.

More to follow.
